A stunning Irish Setter pauses for a close up portrait. This photo session took place in a secure dog field on the outskirts of Leeds. As we had many dogs at the photo session we thought it would be safer and more relaxed in a secure space. If you would feel more comfortable having your photo session at a dog park we are more than happy to do that. The way in which we shoot and retouch the images can often hide distracting backgrounds such as fences. We have access to a selection of fields around the region that we can recommend. Please be aware that there is an additional charge for the hiring of secure fields.
We had the pleasure of photographing this spirited Working Cocker Spaniel puppy amidst the scenic beauty of the Washburn Valley, nestled on the fringes of the captivating Yorkshire Dales and conveniently close to Harrogate and Otley. During the photo session, given the puppy’s boundless energy typical of the Cocker Spaniel breed, we used a lead for posed photographs like this one. Thanks to our retouching expertise, we seamlessly removed the lead from the final image.

Lovely spring photo session among the bluebells in woodland near York and on the edge of the North York Moors. This Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy was only a few months old when we met. In order to ensure she was safe for the duration of the Photo Session she was kept on and extendible lead. If due to problems with recall or reactivity of your dog you feel that you would prefer not to let them off lead during the shoot that is no problem. We can use techniques during the photo session and in post processing that make it possible to remove both leads and collars from the final photos.
A morning stroll along the banks of the River Nidd, not far from Harrogate, with this handsome Jack Russell. Off-lead, he displayed an impressive awareness of his owner’s whereabouts, often looking back to ensure we weren’t too far behind as he trotted ahead to explore and sniff around. As he would look or return to us I would capture some images. The route we walked for this photo session was was his daily walk. With the dog framed in the backdrop the owner knew so well it added a special touch to the session, making the final photos more memorable for them. While we have many stunning locations at our disposal for photo sessions, we’re more than happy to accommodate your preferences. If you’d like to capture your furry friend in a place that holds sentimental value or during one of your regular walks, just let us know.

On a day where flooding from heavy rain had almost stopped us from getting to our shoot location, a brief dry spell allowed us to have an autumnal photo session for this very patient and well behaved cocker spaniel in beautiful mixed woodlands near York. The amber tones of the dog blended beautifully with the colours of the surroundings allowing us to capture a beautiful selection images before the rains returned.
A photo session on the outskirts of Harrogate with this magnificent and very friendly Cane Corso. The photo session was for four dogs and was a gift to the client from a relative. We took a range of portraits of the dogs individually as well as doing some family photos of all of them together. For one of the images from the photo session they opted for a large 40 inch acrylic print which came out beautifully and took pride of place on their kitchen wall.
